Transcend USBメモリーの"無期限"保証規定

PCのリカバリメディア作成に無期限保証を謳うTranscendのUSBメモリJetFlash 790K (USB3.1対応)を購入した。しかし届いたパッケージはワールドワイドのも仕様ので、保証に関する文言は、"Limited LIFETIME Warranty"の画像と下記の日本語だけ。

保証規定概要: この保証は製品を正規代理店でご購入いただいたお客様に限られ、譲渡、中古売買等には適用されません。また、事故、不正使用、取り扱いミス、不適切な取り付け、改変、転載、不適切な使用、電気出力に関連する問題によって発生した製品不良に適用されません。本製品を使用することによって、お客様は本保証書の条項を承諾されたものとします。詳細は下記ページをご参照ください。www.transcend-info.com/warranty ここに記載されている内容は予告なく変更されます

というわけなので、www.transcend-info.com/warrantyを見てみるとすべて英語。斜め読みして気になるところだけピックアップしてみると、、、

つまり、
①購入後30日以内にオンライン登録が必要、
②返品をする場合はサイト経由で行う、
③保証を受ける場合には購入日を証明するものが必要、
ということのようです。

ただ持っていても保証規定に当てはまらないので、保証を受けたいと思う場合は登録などをお忘れなく。
(たかだか1000円くらいのUSBメモリなので、登録や返品の手間のほうがもったいないかもしれません。)
