How to Display Japanese Characters on WindowsXP

I got my PC, but it has the English version of WindowsXP. By defaults, WindowsXP cannot display Japanese characters. So I wrote how to install Japanese fonts into the English version of WindowsXP.

NOTE: You need the regular WindowsXP CD/DVD-ROM.


1. Open the "Control Panel".

2. Choose the "Regional and Language Options" .


3. Select the "Language" tab.


4. Check the "Install files for East Asian Languages" and push "OK".


5. Reboot the PC after all files are installed.
